Quick Start Guide ๐Ÿš€

Get Scare Bot running in your Discord server in just a few simple steps!

Prerequisites

  • Discord Server: You need to be an administrator of a Discord server
  • Permissions: Ability to manage server settings and add bots

Step 1: Invite Scare Bot

  1. Click the invite button below or use this link:
    https://discord.com/api/oauth2/authorize?client_id=1409354008077926493&permissions=8&scope=bot%20applications.commands
    
  2. Select your server from the dropdown menu
  3. Review permissions - Scare requests administrator permissions to function properly
  4. Click โ€œAuthorizeโ€ to add the bot to your server

Step 2: Verify Bot Installation

Once invited, you should see:
  • โœ… Bot appears online in your serverโ€™s member list
  • โœ… Welcome message from Scare (if configured)
  • โœ… Prefix commands available when typing ,

Step 3: Test Basic Commands

Try these commands to verify everything is working:

Information Commands

,status     # Check Discord service status

Step 4: Basic Configuration

  1. Create a #bot-logs channel
  2. Use ,logging setup to configure logging
  3. Choose what events to log (joins, leaves, moderation, etc.)
  1. Use ,automod setup to enable automatic moderation
  2. Configure filters for invites, links, spam, etc.
  3. Set up whitelist for trusted users

Set Up VoiceMaster (Optional)

  1. Use ,vm setup to create dynamic voice channels
  2. Configure channel limits and permissions
  3. Test by joining the created voice channel
